During the Blockheads research, we discovered that a local retirement community used 20,000 Styrofoam cups a month —cups which take over 500 years to decompose in our landfill. We developed the “Ecobin,” a metal container and a non-toxic solution (d-limonene) that dissolves Styrofoam when mixed with water.
The EcoBin enables households and businesses to reduce their Styrofoam waste in a way that is actually good for the environment!
We are now pursuing a patent on our EcoBin.
